About Your Hosts We’re Zach and Carissa — hospitality professionals who’ve recently made Minneapolis our home. We bring our love for great spaces, good wine, and restorative crafts into everything we do here at Book Bar MPLS. And yes, we share our space with three small dogs — 🐾 Brooklyn, the gentle hound mix, 🐾 Mimi, a lovable pug, and 🐾 Bug, our pint-sized shih tzu-poodle firecracker. They’re part of the family and may greet you loudly with a tail wag or two — or respectfully snooze in front of the fire 🔥 while you chill. We live on-site, keep later hours (restaurant life!), and are happy to offer privacy, conversation, or curated local recommendations depending on your vibe.

This is truly a charming and cozy place to stay. We love the doggies, Brooklyn, Mimi, and Bugs. The house is immaculate, and the hosts were friendly and accommodating. We didn't get to cook as we planned because we were so busy every day, but the kitchen was available. Having access to the washer and dryer was very helpful because all we had was our backpacks. We didn't have time to watch TV, but there was one available. The location was great with it's proximity to a grocery store, restaurants, and a gas station. If we're ever in Minneapolis again, we know where we'll stay. The bear claw bathtub was beautiful, but not practical. However, we loved the modern shower downstairs.

Carissa and Zach were wonderful hosts along with their three sweet pups. My stay was short but all was very comfortable, with thoughtful amenities, and the location was great. I highly recommend!
